Olivier Péru is mostly credited with his brother Stéphane for his coloring work on the French and American markets. He is also known for his pencilling work mostly in the French market even if he is currently working on his first US project as a penciller for Marvel Comics.
Péru's first professional job was published by French company
Semic for their pocket books collection.
For this collection, he illustrated a lot of stories and colored many
covers, most notably on Special Zembla (Le Roi Lépreux, Gallix and Galaor), Mustang (Vestiges) and Special Rodeo (Croatan and Drago). These early stories led him to work on more new Semic stories, such as Motor Mayhem, Brigade Temporelle and Strangers.
After working on roleplaying games such as Premiers Ages, Olivier and his brother started working on a series of albums for the
French market, a creator-owned series called Shaman for publishers Pointe Noire, then
Nuclea². The third book was published by Soleil. The publisher also reedited the first two books in "modified" versions. The three books are called L'Eveil, Les Géants de Porcelaine and Cendres et Poussière.
Péru works on a new project for Marvel, taking place in Neil Gaiman's 1602 universe.
Brigade Temporelle and Strangers are featured in Adventures Into Digital Comics. |
