David Álvarez is a webcomic writer and artist, illustrator and storyboard artist who lives in Purto Rico. He is the creator of the webcomic series Yenny and illustrates numerous Looney Tunes stories for DC Comics.

His interest for comic book storytelling and illustrations started at an early age as he was attempting to recreate Disney characters he watched on video with unusual expressions on their faces. He enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico and kept sutdying art.

During his student years he illustrated his first comic strip, Zacha and Anyelin, published in the local newspaper. Alavarez made enough money with the strip to pay for his college expenses. The comic strip eventually became Yenny.

Yenny follows the story of a beautiful girl with enormous feet who wants to become a model and her iguana. Yenny being a successful story, Alvarez self-published anotehr comic book, Changuy, with co-creator David Martnez.

When he read that Warner Bros was working on new animation projects such as Space Jam, Alvarez sent some samples of his work and was eventually contacted to work for the studio as a freelance artist. He illustrated a lot of WB's characters, from the Looney Tunes to Animaniacs. He was able to work with Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, Bob Clampett and illustrated a a short Chuck Jones tribute story written by comic book writer Dan Slott.
