Dave Stewart

Dave Stewart is an American comic book colorist whose main body of work has been published by the major American comic book companies like Marvel, DC and Dark Horse.

Stewart has been the recipient of the Best Colorist/Coloring Eisner Award in 2003, 2005 and 2007.

For Marvel Comics, his most recent works include stints on various Ultimate titles such as Ultimate Fantastic Four and Ultimate Human. He was also John Cassaday's colorist for the 2002 Captain America relaunch.

For DC Comics, his most recents works include stints on the Superman titles. He has also been associated in recent years with Tim Sale's work on Catwoman: When In Rome and Superman Confidential. This association led Stewart to serve as a colorist on Tim Sale's drawings for the Heroes TV show.

At Dark Horse Comics, Stewart is one of the main colorists. He is frequently associated with Mike Mignola on the Hellboy family of titles. He was also the colorist on the first issues of Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season Eight. His work on the Conan relaunch with artist Cary Nord has been celebrated for its incredible style. Stewart has recently become Eric Powell's colorist for his creator-owned series The Goon, but also on Powell's arc on Action Comics.
