Clem Robins

Clem Robins is an American comic book letterer who was born in 1955. After studying at the Art Students League of New York, Robins began his career in the comic book field, a Duddley-Do-Right story for Gold Key Comics in 1977.
Since then, Robins has lettered comic books for the major American publishers, from Batman for DC Comics to Spider-Man for Marvel. In the 90s, he also started working for Dark Horse Comics on titles such as Aliens.
His current lettering duties include Vigilante for Wildstorm, 100
Bullets, Losers, Y: The Last Man, Gotham Central and Loveless for DC, and BPRD and Hellboy for Dark Horse.
Robins also teaches figure drawing and anatomy at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. His book on art, The Art of Figure Drawing, was published in 2002 by North
Light Books. His drawings and paintings are in collections all over the
country, and in the permanent collection of the Cincinnati Art Museum. Since 1982, he's also freelanced as a courtroom artist for television. His court sketches have been used in television stations in Boise, Idaho, Cincinnati, and on CNN.
