Al Nickerson

Born in 1967, Al Nickerson is the creator of The Arggh!!! Chronicles comic book and digital comic (www.arggh.com). Two of Arggh's characters, Hunter (created by Michael Kornstein) and Nihilist-Man both first appeared in Will Eisner Gallery in the late eighties.

After working on Greg Hyland's Lethargic Comics in 1995, Nickerson and Delfin Barral did an online comic that teamed Nihilist Man and Libra together. The online comic eventually became Arggh!!! #0, which led to self-publish their first comic, The Arggh!!! Chronicles 2000 Edition.

Nickerson is also a comic book inker and animator. He has worked as a comic book inker for Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Lethargic Comics, and others. He is also an inker on various Archie Comics' digest books.

Nickerson is also writing a weekly column called Ya Can't Erase Ink. The angle of his columns is a view of the comic book industry from an inker’s (and webcomics creator’s) perspective.
